TaskForce - productivity increased by 30%

The Client

TaskForce Installation and Maintenance installs forecourt signage, fascias and electrical installations on petrol stations for many of the UK retailers. This is a difficult area to work in due to the extremely hazardous petrol fumes and members of the public still requiring access to the sites during the work.

The Brief

Taskforce was failing to meet the quality and delivery performance on a major programme with Total Petroleum. Post installation snagging lists were growing and the time taken to clear these lists were growing resulting in an increase in return visits by the installation teams - the program falling significantly behind schedule. The situation was so serious that Total had given notice to apply penalty costs for late delivery and threatened contract cancellation. Taskforce was also was in a loss making situation.

• On-site productivity increased by 30%
• The company was returned to profitability in only 4 months following 18 months of making a loss.
• The quality of the work was improved and this led to Task Force being awarded a national contract with BP
