The Client

Importer and supplier of cut flower bouquets to major high street retail outlets.

The Brief

The customer was successful in securing substantial new contracts to supply cut flowers to a number of well-known supermarkets. This increase in business represented a 200% increase in sales, which was due to start in 6 weeks with a very short ramp up. Zambant’s brief was to review and improve the current processes and working practices to enable this increase in business.

• Increase in output per employee of 150% in 4 weeks with less manual handling
• Moved from double day shifts to single day shifts with a reduction in the 25% shift premium
• The quality of the flowers in the bouquets improved and shelf life increased
• On time delivery performance was increased from 85% to 100%
• Reduction in Raw material stock of 30%
